Novel International Journal of Multidisciplinary Arts and Humanities is an open access scholarly journal which include all arts and humanities subjects. It aims to bring important new findings of the research in various subjects of arts and humanities. Author Guidance

Plagiarism Policy

All submissions to the Journal are evaluated by the Editors to determine whether the manuscript content and outline meet the criteria of the Journal. If the manuscript meets these criteria, it is subsequently peer-reviewed by 2-3 referees with expertise in the respective research area. So, authors are required to provide the full names and email addresses of 2 – 3 potential referees. Nevertheless, the Chief Editor or Editors are not obliged to use referees suggested by the authors.

Publication criteria

  1. Consistently written in standard English, preferably British English with correct spellings.
  2. Shows original scientific research in any ecological or related field.
  3. Not being considered for publication or already published somewhere else.
  4. All methods including data collection and analysis should be technically and scientifically sound.
  5. Conclusions reached supported by data collected.
  6. Experiments on protected (threatened) species and in protected areas (nature reserves) acquired permits and followed ethical guidelines.
  1. The authors must declare that the submitted manuscript is their own original work, it has not been published anywhere else before and they are not willing to publish it anywhere later.
  2. The authors must take responsibility for their publishing data sets, the content of their publication, and avoid using fraudulent material.
  3. It is the sole responsibility of the author(s) to obtain written permission for reproducing figures or tables from other published material.
  4. The authors and the Journal must agree that the Journal reserve the right to publish the accepted manuscript in electronic format after technical revision.
  5. The authors must transfer copyright to the publisher of  NSP Journals.

Instruction of Manuscript submission

  • Mail addresses of all authors.
  • Name, email addresses and affiliations of four possible peer reviewers for your manuscript: none of them should be in the same institution as yourself or have been co-authors with any of the authors of your manuscript within the past five years.
  • Correctly formatted manuscript (the detailed instructions for authors that are available in the link).
  • Correctly formatted figures in one of the acceptable formats
  • Cover letter that explains why the journal should consider your manuscript and declares any competing interest.

Instructions to Authors

Manuscript should be framed as British English in word file format. Text font size 12” and subheading might be 14  points. All manuscript should be following format: Title page, Author’s name and affiliation address, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, Disclosures statement, Author’s Contributions, Biosketches, References, Tables (if any), Graphs (if any), Color Pictures (if any). Color pictures should be compressed size format using Microsoft word pictures. We would not accept large size (must be < 2 MB) color pictures. If it is large size many pictures, author could send different files of compressed size pictures.

Title: Title should be less than 50 words to cover wide range of topic or area followed by author’s and co-author’s name and affiliation address. Title should be bold in letter with Times New Roman, font size 16. We would not accept manuscript which belongs to non-affiliation address or independent researcher. Authors must mention corresponding author’s email address. Authors sequential order must place 1, 2, 3 (superscript) corresponding to affiliation address. An asterisk (*) must be placed before the corresponding author name (*superscript). Corresponding author’s email address must be provided. Corresponding author will be the responsibility to ensure that all co-authors are aware and approve the contents of the submitted manuscript.

Abstract: This section should include main objectives, statement problems, experimental approach, major findings and conclusion in one paragraph. Avoid abbreviation, diagram and references in the abstract. It should be 1.5 line spacing and should not exceed 200 words.

Key words: Author (s) must provide 4-6 key words. Key words should not be same as present in title of the manuscript. It should cover wide-range of topic related to the manuscript main content.

Introduction: The manuscript should include general topic in related to title page, introduce detail back ground problem of the study, should describe how to resolve problems through the present study, introduce in related to hypothesis or objectives and aims and objectives of the study. Introduction should not exceed 1000 words. Relevant information is necessary and arguments should be presented.

Materials and Methods: It includes information of study area, location, forest types, geographical co-ordinates, geomorphology, background of vegetation, tribe or people information, disturbance information (if any), climate and weather information of study area should be presented. Sampling duration, period of the study, sampling methods, herbarium deposition, flora and fauna identification methods, data analyses.

Results and Discussion:  Results should be precise and concisely. Results and discussion may be separate or combined based on experimental study outcomes. Tables and figures may be necessary to insert into the main text at respective place. Results and Discussion may have subheading if necessary. Labels of the table, graphs and figures must be necessary in the heading label. Color photographs and illustrations (line drawing, halftones, photos, photomicrographs etc.,) must be neat and clean. There are no extra charges for color images and digital images. Statistical values are necessary (if any) should be placed neatly in the relevant place. Discussion should be related to main findings with relevant references.

Conclusion: It must be short paragraph to describe in relation to main findings only. It may also recommend future study in relation to main findings.

 Acknowledgement: This section could provide at the end of the manuscript content before reference section. This section can be used to acknowledge to funders, institution, researcher, scientists, field assistance, lab, corporate company and significant contribution of the research.

References: Literature cites should be placed alphabetical order. Author’s name should be bold in letters. Authors should strictly follow reference format style. If more than five authors shall be listed follow by et al. Examples as follows:

 Authors Contributions: Authors must state that the contribution of each author for their accepted paper. To be listed according to authors’ order. It should be real and concrete contribution to the submission, and each author who contributed to the manuscript should be presented.

Bio sketches: Authors should provide information about each author’s present designation of the work, current research project and interest of the research study. It may also include academic background of the each author.

AIMS

The NOVEL INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY is a bi-annual international journal, being published in the months of June and December of the every year by New Swertia Publications, India since the year 2020.

The aim of the journal is to:

  1. to publish original scientific research work, theoretical or applied research in the field of multidisciplinary science and engineering technology.
  2. to create a platform for publishing novel research findings with a strong empirical component.
  3. to pursue original research and unpublished research articles(s) based on theoretical and experimental works for the publication international level.

SCOPE

The Novel International Journal of Science and Technology is not limited to specific aspect of multidisciplinary Science and Technology and is devoted to a wide range of allied subjects of science and engineering technology. Articles are interdisciplinary nature of science and engineering are particularly invited.

The preliminary goal of the journal is to maintain high quality of publications through novel research findings. The journal is highly emphasizes to formulate the scientific objectives and hypothesis to deliver the novel research findings. Articles which are devoted to the descriptive, theoretical modeling and mathematical expression with a detailed results and discussion of the physical implications of the results are highly encouraged.

PUBLICATION ETHICS

The Editors reserve the right to reject article(s) after first screening of the articles. Articles will be published regular issue on bi-annual basis. Authors should provide assurance that no part of manuscript reporting original work is being considered for publication in whole or in part elsewhere. The corresponding author must confirm that all of the co-authors have read and approved the manuscript for publication in NIJST by covering letter.

AUTHORSHIP

An individual who has made significant research contributions to a scientific examination, for example one who contributes significantly, to the idea, design, execution, analysis and interpretation of the data, draft preparation, revising the manuscript for intellectual content and approves the manuscript to be published.

CORRESPONDING AUTHOR

 More than one authors participated in an article, one author should be nominated as the Corresponding Author. A Corresponding author undertakes overall responsibility for the manuscript, providing significant contribution to the research publication, may not necessarily be the principal investigator or project leader or in charge.

CO-AUTHORS

All joint authors of a publication are responsible for agreeing as authorship to be corresponding author, should contribute in the research work, take responsibility for appropriate portions of the content, acknowledging that they have reviewed and approved the manuscript.

 

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

A conflict of interest exists when conclusion regarding the research is influenced by financial gain or personal relationships. All authors are required to disclose any financial, personal or other associations that may influence or be perceived to influence their work. 

REDUNDANT PUBLICATIONS

Redundant publication denotes to publishing more than one intellectual material is not acceptable for publication. We will cross-checks such category of redundant manuscript submission by editorial board.

PLAGIARSIM POLICY

The Novel International Journal of Science and Technology is a bi-annually international journal, being published in the month of June and December by New Swertia Publications, Puducherry, India since the year 2020.

PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is represents who repeats someone else’s work or ideas as your own product, with or without their permission or consent, by incorporating just like added with their reference paper or without their reference paper. All types of format like published and unpublished material, whether in thesis, manuscript, books, printed form or electronic form, is considered as Plagiarism.

PLAGIARSIM CHECK BEFORE PUBLISHING

New Swertia Publications members will check the plagiarism before sending for review. If plagiarism is noticed by editorial board member, NSP members, reviewer, editor etc., during the article process – before or after acceptance of the article then we will ask authors to revise or rewrite the content, statement of the presentation. If more than 30% of the plagiarism is found – the article may be rejected for further publication and the same is inform to the author. All the submitted manuscripts for publication will be checked for plagiarism before sending for review and publication.

HOW IS PLAGIARISM HANDLED?

The manuscripts in which the plagiarism is found are controlled based on the extent of the plagiarism >5%.

5% – 30% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be sent back to author for content revision.

>30% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected without the review or ask them to resubmit as new version of the manuscript. 

HOW WE HANDLED IF PLAGIARISM DETECTED AFTER PUBICATION

In case of plagiarism found after a paper is published in a New Swertia Publications under the journal of NIJST, the journal will approach a primary investigation. If plagiarism is detected, the journal will inform to authors, and author’s institute higher authority and funding agencies and to take further steps to solve this issues.

ORIGINALITY OF THE MANUSCRIPT

It will be confirmed that by submitting author(s) manuscript to the journal should be original manuscript and it should be unpublished work and is not submitted or consideration elsewhere. Even if  it is author’s own work, reference citation is mandatory. Plagiarism misrepresents ideas, words and other creative expression as one’s own. It is important to state that plagiarism represents the violation of copyright law.  In case author wants to use material from the other work then it is mandatory to cite the same in references. However, the authors needs to change the language entirely with their own concept of the statement.
